Though Sensei Doug Corlew teaches all ages, his passion lies with
the development of children. Self-esteem, confidence, and mental
discipline are the focus of the Karate Program. Self-defense skills
emerge through the riggers of training.
The
Youth Development Program is a program that
allows children and their parents an opportunity to see and experience
how the martial arts enhance the lives of its students both physically
and mentally. Parents and their children will see first hand how
quality instructors, curriculum, structure and humor start the process
of growth in the development of self-esteem, discipline, confidence and
concentration.
In addition, parents will see how martial arts
techniques and drills improve coordination, balance, agility and speed. The Dojo's classes are the Young Warriors Karate, Youth Judo and Youth Kendo programs. All classes are limited to 15 students to maintain quality instruction, so there must be an opening in a class in order to register.
